I need a bit of this.

But there hasn't been time to slow down.

I'm in a dead heat so it seems.....with this thing!

Then I might collapse.

Louisiana State University WINS the "College World Series" in Omaha~!!!Oh yeah it is one HAPPY DAY in the Red Stick today!

We just love our College Sports teams down here in Baton Rouge......

I have lived other States where Football teams are HUGE (Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri) but this town is THE absolute BEST for supporting their LSU sports players.

Hopefully this victory party will carry into the Football season and LSU will WIN BIG this Fall......we love LSU football.
Ummm did I mention that Miss Priss and Joshua are getting married on THE BIGGEST LSU Football "game day" of this season. October 10th.LSU playing Florida here at HOME.....yikes!

I've already had to set one of my family members straight on their attitude about this. They can get to the game still in plenty of time after the wedding.
We can't run our entire lives around LSU Football now can we? HA!!!

Red Velvet Cake

Ugh....I could just BEAT that new Fiance of Ariel's..."Mr. Joshua."

He brought over a "Red Velvet Cake" last night.
Now honestly....I've been VERY good at trying to get into shape for that lovely"Mother Of The Bride" dress I just bought.But tonight....that thing on the counter was "calling my name" like a Phantam in the dark.....and it was pretty much saying....
"eat me."

So I did. Just now....at Midnight.

Now I'm mad.

What is it about Red Velvet Cake that is so AWESOME" I mean is it just me or what??? I just love that cake.

It's like a RED piece of "Heaven on Earth".....with Cream Cheese Frosting.
I downed it with some homemade Sweet Tea...I think it would have been even better with a Hot Cup of Tea.

But it's all water under the bridge now. Or...should I say...."FAT on the hips."

Ummm...I need to RUN to bed now before I am forced to eat another piece.
Darn that Joshua.
What in the WORLD was that boy thinking???

Busy, Busy.......

My past few weeks have been so busy.
Can you tell?
Because I SURE haven't had the time to even get on here and do new updates.
Yet....I have SO much GOOD NEWS!!!

As most of you know......Miss Priss just went to Africa.
"Miss Priss, dancing with the kids in Mozambique."

A friend and Miss Priss in an airport on her way to Johannesburg, South Africa their first stop. She did ALL kinds of things and had great fun and was inspired while she was in Swaziland and Mozambique. Miss Priss on the right with the pig tails.
She performed in dramas and had a blast doing that.




YET.....little did Miss Priss know that her Prince Charming was back home....planning this.
And several hours after Miss Priss arrived back in Baton Rouge....her man of her dreams whisked her off and PROPOSED to her.

Photos of the ring to follow.....ummm....the Mama and the Daddy approve by the way.
And the Daddy even went with Joshua to help him when he went to purchase Ariel's engagement ring.

Yes.....we have a wedding now in the plans.

Kathleen

Kathleen and her children buried her husband and their Father and Friend this past Monday. I know it's been hard on their family, yet I know God has been merciful to them as well during this time.

They have "HOPE"..... and hope helps us get through the hard things in life.

My "Tea Group".....which has been rightfully dubbed:
"The Royal Court Of Tea Sisters".....met two weeks ago at our good friend Diane's house.
"Me taking photos.."
Diane set her table with a "Butterfly" theme...

Even giving us each a "Butterfly Pin" to wear...which was pinned onto our napkins at each place setting.

I haven't had time to post these photos and I have more even but at this point I want to let you know to PLEASE pray for Kathleen.....

Her husband died unexpectedly the night before last after a very short illness.
We are all in shock.
However we are comforted in the fact that Bob was prepared to leave this planet at any time and no one imagined it would have been this quickly.

~Miss Priss is DUE home from Africa in the morning!!!~ She's flying across the ocean at this very moment.
So we have been getting ready for that celebration!!!
