"Winding up...or Winding down." Which ever.

Not that I am an "expert".....but I have weathered a few storms, living here in South Lousiana.

I'm talking about "Hurricanes" you know.
I think.

You know how before they hit land they sometimes stay in the water and "they calm down and loose speed" making their impact less damaging when it does hit land.....and at other times these spinning monsters "gather strength and they speed up."Making their approach more frightening for those on land and their impact terrible more devasting.

I feel like we have made all nessacary "preparations" and have "battened down the hatches" as best as possible.

So now bring on the hurricane.

Errr......I mean Wedding.

My GOOD friends, Lori and Joanie Miss Priss and "Mack" my friend Lori's daughter and Miss Priss's friend. Mack is a newlywed herself.

Time for a hurricane party soon. We are two weeks away now.
I like how you have notice before a hurricane as compared to other such events.

I'm ready....... bring it on.

A Wedding Shower

Tomorrow is a big day for Miss Priss and her Mother.

That would be "me." Her Royal Highness "The Mother of the Bride."

It's Ariel's first "big" Wedding Shower.
Several of my closest friends are giving this shower for her.

Many of my oldest and dearest friends and some newer ones.....along with Mr. Joshua's family will be attending. And we are SO EXCITED about this event!

Oh...she had another Shower a few weeks ago....but the Mama's weren't invited of course.
It was one of those "Lingere Showers" that the girlfriends give to the Bride.
It was very nice and classy and nothing trashy about it.

"The Bride To Be"

You couldn't have told me this time last year that my Miss Priss would be getting married in October of this year. "The Happy Couple"

But now here we are and it's happening.
How do I know this.....?

Because I just paid out the "REALLY BIG BUCKS" today for the Wedding and Reception Hall....ugh.

Thankfully.....I only have one daughter and THREE sons. I pity those girls families!! I have learned my lesson on the "absorbant cost of Weddings."

A Wedding, A Wedding...Lah, Lah, Lah, La....

Forgive me in "advance" if you don't see me as often this month......

For I am heavily in the midst of the final preparations of the upcoming wedding of "Miss Priss and Mr. Joshua."

The Wedding is October 10th...and I have been doing LOTS of this.....


Oh, excuse me I meant this....The Invitations are all in the mail.....and so are the checks for the most part. HA!

I'm a major "planner" and am very good at things such as this...and MOST all of the big things are done however, some things can't be finished until the end.

I'm not thrilled with my "Mother Of The Bride" get up....I'm not the traditional kind of Mum that wants to wear a "long Burgundy, organza and lace dress" to the wedding. That is so not me.

But I did buy a lovely Sky Blue, shiny "Kasper" three piece skirt suit. I want to wear a hat but Miss Priss won't let me. UGH!
