BEAUTIFUL Fall photos from Massachusetts

I have a little friend who lives outside of Boston.
She has seen on my blog how sad I am about the "dreadfully drab" Fall weather we have here in Lousiana......and she having lived here before....sent me some sweet "Fall RELIEF" through her photos.

Now....I could never live in Massachusettes personally.
For several reasons....mainly...it's too hard to spell.

And a bit too liberal of an area of the world for me. No offense to anyone from there that may be reading this.

However, I would LOVE to go visit one day and this is why......

Aren't these trees lovely.

I LOVE Pumpkin Patches......they are sooo fun and cute!

I told my husband I want to "Grow some Pumpkins next year"....but I don't know if we can fit this in.

We found out the date for the "next Wedding" today...which is going to be MAY 8th...then my husband and I are embarking on a BIG TRIP..planned for June.

Ugh...SOOOO....Pumpkins take a long time to grow...like over 100 days...I'm not sure I can fit them into my tight schedule....

One day though...maybe...if we don't keep on this track of "One wedding per year"....Because I have two boys left to marry off.
That alone could tie up my next TWO years...ugh.

Hummm....I have two boys left?? Any takers??? I might need to help speed this up so I can get on with my life. :~)

We have this one...Gabriel the oldest one up for grabs.....although he is currently dating someone.

And we have the youngest boy...Luke...who is single and not dating anyone. He's very kind and giving and lives at home with his PARENTS.
Which we are fine with though...that way we don't totally have an "empty nest" plus we have a built in "helper and "yard guy."

MY BOYS WOULD STRANGLE me if they knew I did this....so "shhhhh"....don't tell them. Just contact me and send me your "wedding qualifications" resume, if you want to marry one of them.....

***Everything has to "Be checked out and be cleared with the MAMA first" you know....

~Ya'll have a BLESSED DAY!~

Updates....

Nope, thankfully...we've had no "H1N1" here and we hope it doesn't visit our house.
We are just reeling with the "WEDDING FEVER" but are currently "adjusting" to this...again.
But it's all good.
Kolin and Caleb
And I think we have some "time" when it comes to this next wedding. Unlike the last one that took place in what...4 months?

So as I have been told....all I have to do is "SHOW UP" and trust me this time I....awwwww......never mind. I'm a HUGE "worker bee" so I will be helping out all along this next journey I suppose. Plus now I have a resume when it comes to "Wedding Planning."
It's not such a bad thing to do anyway now is it??

After all......this time we aren't paying so that helps out a bit.

Next...just wanted to let you all know that "Aaron".....who my sister calls by the pet name of "Mango"...(don't ask me why)is back at home and out of the hospital after his bout with "H1N1".

Hopefully he will get stronger and stronger every day.......and so will she.

Thanks to you all for praying and your concern! I deeply appreciate it.

And so does Mango......I mean Aaron. :~)

I have some lovely "Fall" photos to put on here that a little friend of mine sent me from the East Coast so hopefully in the next few days I will be doing that.

Come back and see me soon!

I just don't know what to do.
Because I'm already tired, and have been trying to recouperate.

And now this hit us tonight......

Mr. Caleb Mahan off and proposes to his girlfriend Kolin......

I sort of blame that Joshua and Ariel for all this spreading around of that"Wedding Fever".....don't ya'll agree??

PLEASE pray for Aaron...

Sweet little Aaron.
Please pray for my little "pumpkin" Aaron...he's my nephew.
He is very ill and in the hospital with "H1N1"...
Sad.

Pray for Jerri, my sister as well.....she's there with him 24/7 and needs strength.

I'll keep you all posted and will write about some more "pumpkins" I want to show you SOON!

Funny how your life can spin from 90 miles an hour to less than 10 in a matter of moments.
But it's all good really.

Mrs. Priss's photographer...

The now "MRS.Priss" taking Bridal photos in downtown Baton Rouge....
I am currently "adjusting" to not seeing or hearing from Mrs. Priss.
Which had been an ALL day and night situation with her living here with us for nearly 19 years......to just a few mere "text messages" per day. And I don't like it.

Because we were very close.....but now the "Honeymooners" must bond and rightly so. That is how is supposed to be.

"For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; and they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more two, but one flesh."
Mark 10:7-8

We believe this. It is how life works.
And I had "braced" myself for this transition...but I don't like it. :~(

Although I am very happy for Mrs. Priss and Mr. Joshua....
It's an odd "Bittersweet" feeling.
Who knew? No one told me I would feel this way.

The "empty" nest is a sad thing at times....
but it's a good thing at other times. It's nice to have a cleaner house and not to have to cook some evenings...but loneliness does still come.

We do still have one birdie here that hasn't flown the coop. Luke and Joshua
I'm refering to the bird on the left...however....He's a busy bird, and very messy.

And we also have one hairy beast.
Both of those keep me sweeping and mopping continually.....

The Wedding of Miss Ariel and Mister Joshua

Finally......the BIG day came. Last Saturday to be exact. I thought it would never come at the end. I was ready for it to happen. Then the day before...I was a bit concerned as to such things like..."how does this all happen and how will I feel" and those sorts of questions a Mama has.

But the time came and the wedding was beautiful and so was the Bride...and of course the Groom was dashing and handsome.

Here now are a few "random" photos that a friend of Joshua's took.
The actual Wedding photographs aren't back in our hands from the photographer yet.
So these will have to sufice for now.

The "Kiss"
"Mr. and Mrs. Davis"
The New Happy Couple
The Mother and Dad of the Bride getting ready for photos with the Newlyweds.
The Bride and her Mother and Father
All of our Mahan Clan with Joshua and Ariel and my sister Jenny and her children
More of the Bride and Groom

Joshua and Ariel during the reception
Cutting the cake
Ben our good friends son from Florida and Ariel
Ben and his Daddy...our good friend from Florida who helped do part of the wedding service and the worship music during the service.

Did I mention that my husband performed the service?? He walked our little girl down the aisle....our good friend Donnie did the "who gives this woman to this man thing" to which my husband answered "her Mother and I" then Donnie left that position and my husband took over.

It all was so wonderful and a bit like a blurr now. We can't wait to see the video's from the wedding.

The Honeymooners are off on a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean.

The family from Iowa went back home this past Monday, and the friends from Florida went back home this past Monday...one guest who was our "video guy" came in from Kansas City, leaves back for there tomorrow.

Now....I say to you all..... who needs a cruise?? I think my husband and I do except now we are broke. HA!
Now I need to get a REAL job.
Let me know if you know of any here in the Baton Rouge, area.

My Sweet Lil' Nephew "Aaron"..

"Baby Aaron" when he was born. He was like a tiny, frail, bird.

I need to give ya'll this GREAT "Update" because I've been meaning to do this and have been so busy with the wedding but it is TIME to give God some major GLORY!!!

Do ya'll remember my nephew Aaron that was born last January at 29 weeks. He went through so much trauma as well did my poor sister Jerri when he was born that early. She had so many health issues and so did he.

But now take a look at him!! HE looks like ELVIS.... HA!

He still is working through some things but over all he has had really FABULOUS "reports" and we are so pleased about this. Especially since his little life was so "touch and go" for a long time in the beginning.....

Aaron...is just a precious little boy. So SWEET sleeping in his car seat holding his little stuffed animal.

We are so thankful for this little miracle of life.

He has a few major hurdles to jump in the days ahead......a very important Dr.'s appointment in November with a Specialist in on the agenda. We are praying that ALL will be well!

Please continue to pray for little Aaron...we have appreciated all your comments and concern and prayers on his behalf.

More wedding "Updates" forthcoming.
However, just to let ya'll...now I am starting to FREAK OUT a tad bit IF I think on it all. Ugh!!
"This too shall pass" and sooner than we realize.

The "Bridal Tea" is tomorrow......photos soon.

Is It Just Me?

I'm a major "Night Owl."
Whooooooo whooo....else is?

All I know is that it's very late here in this house yet, I am WIDE awake and have the "AOL RADIO" playing very loudly in my office where I am working. Maybe that's part of the problem.
I think I might need to "dim the lights" and turn that stuff down a bit.
But I am into this new "Sinatra Style" section they have on there.
It's all old style music in "Sinatra's" singing fashion. There's some newer music on there too like songs by "Michael Bublé." However much of it is old stuff and I love it.

Now why am I not in bed "dreaming" right about now?? I haven't a clue. Other than the fact this is my "prime time of the night" AND I have a million, gazillion things to cross off my never ending list for the upcoming
Wedding of Miss Priss and Mr. Joshua.

As soon as I get one list done and start feeling great about that. I start a new list.
Right now I am on the "House TWEAK List"......which is things to do before my sister Jenny and her family get here from Iowa. They will be flying into New Orleans on this coming Wednesday night where we will pick them up and drive them back to Baton Rouge for all the "FESTIVITIES" which will all begin the very next evening.
Ugh.

Now I am tired from just writing about it.

Just wanted to say "Hi" really quick before FORCING myself to go to bed.

I will be "back in the loop" in about two weeks.
Pray for us....my husband and I BOTH are sick right now.

We been down for two days with some odd virus that is exhausting us and giving us body aches, etc. I'll spare you all the gorey details. :~)

Needless to say......we don't have time for this right now.

Oh well.....we press onward.
