~The Party's Over~

I love to have a party........but aren't you always glad when it's over?
I AM......
HA!
But we love to do this for our friends and family.

***Sadly......I am not a photographer and these photos are not superb. But these are the best I have.

Bear with me please!
Getting our huge "Crawfish Pots" warmed up and ready with boiling water to cook all the
"Corned Beef" briskets
for our St. Patrick's Day Party."
There are 8 Briskets in that pot boiling!

We cook them "South Louisiana Style".......but not with "Crab boil. We use the spices that come with the Corned Beef when it's packaged.

My husband "stirring the pot"......that's normal. HA!
Dexter waiting for the party to start.

Costumes are now in order as our guests start to arrive.

(Note: Plaid skirts and White Victorian Blouses make people's bodies appear "larger" than real life.)
I hadn't planned on wearing anything too crazy...but felt bad for my husband being the only one dressed up.

So I donned some things I had around my closet and quickly made up an outfit. Not too bad. HA!

(Don and Ray Wallace...yes..He's a Scotsman)
Don giving a brief talk, and introducing our "speaker" for the party......
our good friend Roxanne.

She's the one in the T-shirt and Hat,
from Ireland her parents brought back to her after their trip there.

Roxanne's children are moving to Ireland to work as Assemblies of God Missionaries.
Which is one of the most premiere Missions Organizations in the World.
(My opinion on the matter...
We have so many friends that are AOG Missionaries
 all over the world.)

Roxanne herself, is a Teacher at
Louisiana State University.

She is also, amongst many other things in life,
 on the Board for a
West African Medical Missions Board.

She just returned back to Baton Rouge, from Africa a few weeks ago in fact.
Everyone listening to Roxanne
Me and Mrs. Priss

During these parties I just can't seem to keep up with taking photos and hostessing.

So I totally forgot to take photos of the food.
Of course.

Oh,
and we had a very naughty
"Leprechaun"
 at our party.....
here he is "taunting" poor Ms. Phillis...

More on this next time.
