There and Back Again...

What a long time since I've wrote on here.
Life has been so busy and a bit overwhelming since I last was here.
And maybe for you as well.
But we must always press onward.
Or we should anyway!

My husband and I have just returned from a very quick
and long distance trip to my home town in Missouri.

My Grandfather,

who was my only surviving Grandparent
passed away peacefully a week ago this past Sunday.

As hard as it was during this season to get there, it was well worth the journey.
I wouldn't have missed it for anything really.

My Mother and Sister Jenny were there and my Sister Janna and her husband. Amongst a host of other relatives.

The weather was beautiful and the scenery was as well.

It was a glorious "life" celebration.
He was a WWII vet and served in the South Pacific theatre.
As was appropriate, "Full Military Rites" were performed at his grave site.
That is always so emotional for me and everyone really.

After all the Funeral details were finished.
My husband and I along with my sister Jenny and our Mother did a bit of sightseeing and such in our old town.

Which was also the home of a famous
American Writer.
Jenny swore she "saw Him in the window."
~Creepy~

We made it back late Sunday night.

And now we are off again.
However this time.......we are embarking on our
 "Dream Trip."

  England and Scotland.
Something we have waited on for years,
is now finally happening and we are looking so excitedly towards this time.

We are going to see these people...........

and we are meeting up with another family which I will speak about later.

And hopefully.......
One never knows really.....it could happen.

We are praying for "Divine appointments" all during our trip.
I love when that happens.
It might not be a future King or Queen.
It may in fact be
YOU.
Until next time...
which hopefully won't be as long between posts.
Cheers!

So sorry to hear about your grandfather..... I send my prayers and thoughts for you and family....

AND OMG..... you are headed to England! How very wonderful..... I would love to go back and visit some of the places that I lived in the 60's.... I think it is a different England now....... but have a GREAT time and remember to eat some Fish and Chips out of newspaper and do NOT miss eating a sausage roll! Do not miss that...

I hope that the Father God DOES give you the desire of your heart and let you see that beautiful future King and Queen of England! God can do that JUST FOR YOU !!!!

Joyce,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your grandfather. A celebration of life is a wonderful thing for helping your family to heal. He was so handsome and I see a resemblence of him in you.
You are going to England and Scotland! How wonderful for you...I hope to see many, many photos especially of Scotland since I never got to go there. Let us know more about when this trip is planned.
