Photo time.....

Here's a few photos from our "Annual St. Patrick's Celebration" on Sunday. Just remember, I don't claim to be the greatest photographer in the world.....you'll figure that one out real quick.
But we give it a "go" anyhow.

Pastor Steve sent us the very CUTE "Irish Bear" in his Green Kilt playing the Bagpipes as a "gift" for our party. He plays "When Irish Eyes are Smiling."

Don brought it home one night last week in it's box and told me to "open it". So I did and WAS THRILLED!
Don said he had been called that day by Pastor Steve's Mother-in-Law to drop by the house that P. Steve had a "Gift" for us and this is what it was. That was SOOOO SWEET of him and his wife Dianne. He had ordered it for us special. Even thought he's been in the hosptial for nearly 4 weeks...he thought to do this for us, that says alot about WHO he is.

****By the way...P. Steve was being released from the hospital as we were having our party!
Finally!

Serving it up "Cajun style"....you just "lay it out and they come and get it."

Marsha, Joanie, Me, Diane, and Paula.

Mr. Ray and Mr. Bob

A very sweet and kind Marsha, brought me this fitting "Hostess gift."
The "Taste of Home, Irish Food and Fun Recipe Magazine."

We had some 35 people counting children invited and ended up with a very comfortable 15 counting our son and his friends.
One family was unable to make it because 2 of their children had Strep Throat, so we missed them dearly.

Joanie and I having some good "Craic"....which means "fun."

Really...we had perfect amount of people and everyone could visit with each other well.
I TOTALLY forgot to take photos of the food....can you believe it? I was so busy trying to help prepare the food....and play "Hostess" and photographer.

Although my husband did most of the big cooking outside. He did 8 decent sized pieces of Corn Beef and TONS of Red Potatoes, in our huge Crawfish Pot and the Cabbage in our "Turkey Fryer."
HA!

I did the Carrots inside because they don't take long at all and are a bit more fragile than the rest of those foods.
WE HAD SO MUCH FOOD LEFT OVER though because I did plan for more than what came....I would rather be over than under when it comes to food.....SOOOO...we are still eating it! HA! It's fine with my family though we love this kind of food.
Corn Beef sandwhich anyone?

A very "TIRED" Don and Joyce after a busy but fulfilling day.

One more......
Irish "Blessing" Teapot, Sugar and Creamer...by Lenox.

"A good time was had by all."

I love that saying.....ha!
AND I especially love our friends....those that came and those that couldn't.

1. So what's with the crown?
2. In Kansas City we had reign all day on St. Patrick's day.
3. Sophie would love that tea-house set.

What a fun time that must have been. Everyone has such happy looks on their faces. I love the bear in his kilt, so thoughtful of Pastor Steve.

First of all, it was so fun to see what you look like. Now I have a picture in my mind when I read your blog. Loved seeing your tiara. Love the bear. Loved pix of the party.

And most of all, loved seeing pictures of people sitting outside without coats on, HA! It will be May before that happens here. It is supposed to snow tonight so I am not in an Easter-ish mood.

Iwona,
The crown is really an "Irish Tiara" with fake Emerald stones set in it. HA! I got it at Target in the $1.00 bins they have up front with all the cool junk in them.

I was an "Irish Princess" in it...ha! Everyone loved it. I would have bought all the ladies one of them to wear but they didn't have enough......so I was the "Queen of the Ball" that day. HA!
I'm GLAD you came and found a way to comment on the blog even if it put you in 50 times. Funnnny! Hey better to have tried and OVER suceed than not to try at all I say.
I'm loveing your new BLOG too you are so smart. And I love all the Polish culture stuff....I may learn some Polish words too now..since you translate into the two languages. Good job.
Love ya!
Tell that Sophie to come see "Ms. Joyce"...or I may come see you all this summer.....and have tea.

Julie,
Well....it's always good to have a "visual" of a person I say. But I wish mine were a bit "thinner"....ha! Wretched steroids have blown me up like a puffer fish. But I have to have them. Sadly. I'm trying to get OFF of them but it hasn't worked out yet. I went off for a tiny bit last year and lost 17 pounds with NO effort.....it was a TON of fluid. Which is my issue all the time.. even now. Blah!
Ugh.....snow for tonight, this close to Easter weekend is a DRAG. I guess it is the FIRST day of Spring but that doesn't always translate well to the "North" does it? Usually it rains here before Easter......I think we already had it though and this weekend will be nice. Cheers!!

I'm having a problem posting a comment too. Will try again.
Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my blog. Hope everyone is well soon and things get back to normal for you. Normal? What is normal? Anyway, you know what I mean.
I love the tea house set. I think your pictures are very good.
Blessings to you and your family.

I love all the pictures, especially the one with you and your husband. That one turned out really nice. So glad to hear that Pastor Steve was released from the hospital. He and his wife sound like really neat people.
