The Magnificent
~Magnificent~
"Magnificent
I was born
I was born to be with you
In this space and time
After that and ever after
I haven’t had a clue
Only to break rhyme
This foolishness can leave a heart black and blue
Only love, only love can leave such a mark
But only love, only love can heal such a scar
I was born
I was born to sing for you
I didn’t have a choice but to lift you up
And sing whatever song you wanted me to
I give you back my voice
From the womb my first cry, it was a joyful noise…
Only love, only love can leave such a mark
But only love, only love can heal such a scar
Justified till we die, you and I will magnify
The Magnificent
Magnificent
Only love, only love can leave such a mark
But only love, only love unites our hearts
Justified till we die, you and I will magnify
The Magnificent
Magnificent
Magnificent"

I have a confession to make.........
I'm a U2 fan.
Maybe that surprises you but since it's
"All Things Irish" month on "The Secret Gardener"....
So I thought I would show case one of their new songs.
They are Irish you know.....and they support many valid organizations .....like the "Product (RED)"campaign, the "ONE" campaign, and many other "compassionate" world causes.I am not in agreement with everything they DO regarding their personal lifestyles and their private choices, etc..
However, I do like alot of their music.
In fact I'm loving this new song by them....
Have you ever looked at the words and lyrics from many of their songs?
Bono has written and performed many songs that exalt "The Magnificent" one.....
I have heard first hand from people that I knew in Ireland that Bono and the others do indeed have a real hunger for "Spiritual things." You can read this and hear this in a lot of their work, past and present.
These boys from Dublin are activists for many issues of social injustice so that comes across strongly in their music too.
They seem to really have a genuine love and concern for Africa too, and
I like that.
Check out this song "Magnificant" from their new album "Get On Your Boots."
It reads and sounds like a song of "Worship" to me.
See what you think.

Speaking of all things Irish -have you seen the show called "Celtic Thunder" on PBS? WOW and double WOW! Talk about some great music and handsome Irish singers! Check it out!
This was a good song, too!

How great that you and both are celebrating All Things Irish this month! I, too, am a U2 fan. They are among the few celebs to use their fame for good works. Tho the most special place in my heart on this topic is for Bob Geldof.
Yes...... love their music...... I am almost 1/2 Irish...... and a lot native American! Makes me a handful on some days! Don't know weather to scalp someone or kick them in the "pot" at the end of the rainbow! hahahha
Happy Green Month!
Joyce, we are all fans of U2 and this song is awesome. I have a little Irish in me--not sure where it came from but we think that my great grandfather's name was changed from Bearden to Beard, not to mention that my great grandmother was McFarlain.
Glad your trip was fun and safe. Love and Hugs, Pat
I, like you, appreciate SOME of the things that Bono supports. I know their hearts are in the right place anyway. The song does definitely have religious overtones. I love your new header too, by the way. Regarding St. Patrick's day ... My husband's grandparents on his father's side were Irish & Scottish (Kidston & Carter)but we really don't celebrate the 17th too much- but I do like the Kiss Me I'm Irish part! (LOL)
I want to get this CD. Love your new blog look ;-)
