St. Paddy's Day "Louisiana Style"......
It was the Annual "Mahan Celebration of Ireland Party" here at our house last Sunday afternoon....This is how we "cook" our "Irish" meal.......South Louisiana style.
Don prepping to cook.
There were EIGHT big ol' "Corned Beefs" (does "beefs" sound proper?) cooking in that big Crawfish pot. The potatos were going to cook in the Turkery frying pot.
We have learned how to "retro-fit" our Irish cooking with our Cajun resources.
Miss Priss with her eyes closed.....with her friend Joshua.
I believe we had 20 plus people in and out through out the day.
We even had a "Kiltwearer" appear......
Our good friend Paul wanted to wear my kilt.....
Problem was though......It was MORE than a tad bit too small.....I tried to warn him of that, but he paid me no mind.
Paul "entertained our troops"....that I must say....we laughed our heads off.....
Especially when he did some sort of odd "Jig" or something.
Maybe he was trying to do the "Can-Can?"
"It wasn't "Traditional dancing" nor pretty" by any means but it was hillarious.
Paul tormenting Kolin...
Miss Phillis who I work with, and some of my pool friends...Miss Phyllis, Miss Norma and Miss Sandi.
Paul's dear, sweet wife Kelly.....
Misss Priss, Josh, Kolin
We love to do this event every year for our family and friends.
My husband Don after the party....tired, but happy.
I think we all had a good time and made some good memories while we thought of and prayed for and celebrated Ireland.

Yes, Joyce,
It was a very good time. No Louisianians cook any better Irish than you and Don. I'm still full, and laughing. A very good time by two very good, gracious, warm, loving people. Thanks for being you. Marsha
Looks like soooo much fun! Wish I could have been there! LOL!

Joyce you all looked like you were having a great time! Wish I could have been there to have fun with you! Great photos. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, Joyce,
What a wonderful party. Yes, I think corned beefs is right. I think the English would say beeves but that is just odd.
How lovely that you do this for your friends. They must just love you.
Do you ever make colcannon or shepherd's pie for St. P's Day?
Well that was too much fun I think! Thanks for sharing and Paul looks to have been the life of the party! How much fun was that! I look forward to the summer time and friends and family fun!
Looks like great fun!
Joyce, looks like you all had a wonderful day. I have moved back to my parents for a while, so I won't get to come here often without internet there. But please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love and Hugs, Pat
