"Unconventional"

Miss Sandy did something crazy and "unconventional" this week for our pool group.

She served our Swim group "Tea" after we had finished swimming the other day.

Chocolate chip and plain scones!

Vanilla/Pomegranate Tea served up in China Tea Cups and  scones served onto China plates.

But obviously we were not properly dressed for this occasion.
Yet, we didn't care.
This wasn't your normal "Tea Party"....

(Joan and Phyllis)
This was a "Swim Tea"
Complete with "Devon shire Cream and Lemon Curd"

(me)
Cheers!!

(Ginger and Miss Sandy)

Maybe "The Queen" would be mortified...

(Ann)

(Miss Sandy, pouring tea)
But then again....maybe "Her Majesty" wouldn't be.
Because we were having fun....

(Joyce)
And we had all the required components for a Tea Party......

(Miss Sandy, Ann, Joyce)

(Joan, and Phyllis)

(Ginger and Miss Sandy)
Great tea cups, great food, and great friends.

Besides ya'll..........

This is Louisiana and it's HOT HERE!

We will wear our "Proper Tea Clothes" when we go into the air conditioning.
Plus......."we're working on our tans!"

Joyce, the pool looks so inviting, I would have skipped the tea and gone for the water. I can't believe it's still so very hot here in La. I am looking forward to some real fall weather and a little winter weather as I feel better in the winter. Go figure. Looks like you ladies shared a great afternoon. Hope you are feeling better soon. Hugs, Pat

Joyce,
The cookies and scones looked delightful! I think I would swim come up for air eat a few cookies sip some tea and dive back down again! HA! Just kidding! Your party looked like a lot of fun!

Hugs,
Jean
P.S. Glad you are feeling better.

Well that certainly looks fun and the scones look good.
How I envy you your pool and the weather to be able to use it!!

Swimming and afternoon tea, can't get much better than that.
