Dickens quote....and the crazy new "Dickens World!

Reflect on your present blessings, of which every man has many; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.
Charles Dickens
English novelist (1812 - 1870)

I like Dickens.
Alot. The man wrote some of the very best stuff that's out there as far as British literature goes and lots of other countries as well.

Think about some of his most famous writings with me........
*A Christmas Carol ..we all know this by heart.
*A Tale of Two Cities
*Bleak House (LOVED the PBS Special on that last year!!)
*David Copperfield (umm...not that creepy magic guy)
*Great Expectations
*Hard Times

*Nicholas Nickelby
*Oliver Twist ....I love Oliver Twist.....awwwww!

I have to stop there because I'm drooling.

But I probably won't be visiting the new "Dickens World" Theme park they've just opened in Kent.

It' not really high on my
"list of things to do while in England."

In fact....it's not even on my list.

What is your favorite Dickens book or story?

**** Thank Goodnes my sister Jerrijust wrote me and e-mail and rescued me...I had earlier wrote that "Johnny Depp" was appearing in "Nicholas Nickelby" but she just wrote and correctly stated that he's appearing in "Sweeny Todd."**** Regardless..I'm going. HA! Johnny Depp is a bit of a freak at times, but I like his acting in certain roles. Like the "Pirate" movies.

I was going to go see the new "Elizabeth" today with a friend but had to cancel due to me having a "bad" day body wise.
Odd and quick "weather change" here in the area...we went from like 80+ yesterday to 60 degrees today. Ugh.
We will see it go another day soon.

Oliver Twist is my favorite.

That is so cool that there is a Dickens world! I know if we getto England, there is no way I can drag Dean to Dickens world if I am already gonna drag him on a tour of Oxford and all things Tolkien and Lewis.

I know...Don too.....it's going to be ENOUGH to get him where I want him to go and that's just England in itself, he's not the fan I am.
then...to the Lake District.
I have to see all that forsure on this trip.
