Rainy Day.....ouch.

“May you always have walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you and all your heart might desire.”
~An Irish Blessing~

We need our walls, a roof, some tea and some warmth today because it's rainy and chilly here.

It was drizzling a bit last night too. I hear we are in for COLD temps the next two days then.....it gets WARM this weekend. It does that here, first it's hot then it's cold. You really never know what to expect from week to week.

I woke up today and could hardly move and thought..."what's going on?" Hummm.....could it be the weather? It usually is if I am really bad in the mornings when I wake up.

Upon finally getting out of my warm bed to come in to make a cup of tea and the very LAST "Crumpet" that I have in the house.

I had already felt the coldness, but now I could see the overcast skys, rain puddles and the dreary day that lies before us.

It's okay though. I will warm up and so will my joints.....ummmm.....at some point.
Today is "injection day"....every Thursday I do the shots myself....into my stomach. Gross I know. But it should help... hopefully.

I will know when I get back to my Specialist the first of February. We may need to choose a "new game plan" if he feels this isn't working properly yet and he wasn't too happy last time I was there.

"But GOD"......as my good friend Diane always says. And He is who I am placing my trust in more than any shot or any Dr.

Good thing I ran and got some things we were needing for the house last night. Now I don't have to get out in the damp weather. I have many projects to work on inside the house today. Including making a a hearty vegetable stew.

I wish it were "Green as Ireland" outside. But it's not.....it's a drabby "brown" here...except for the bushes and thank goodness that gives us some life to look at.

When I went to Ireland a few years back....it was cold and it was June. And it rained EVERY day. Sometimes for a few hours....sometimes all day long.
I was there for 10 days. But you adjusted to the rain, it wasn't the tormenting rainfalls that we get at times here with these crazy storms that blow upon us.

It was "kind" rain. Very light.

And it is so worth it because you have NEVER seen a "Greener" land.
It's unbelievable.
They say there are "50 shades of Green" in Ireland.

Well...maybe in Kentucky possibly. It's a pretty green there.

I used to LOVE rainy days. Now they are a bit of a hindrance for me physically.
But emotionally....I still like them. We get alot of rainy days here in Louisiana.

However, it sure doesn't look like Ireland here at all.
Sigh.Ms. Mary sent me an e-mail with this photo in it yesterday, it had rain falling in her e-mail but it wouldn't transfer to this site.

Just imagine the rain "gently falling." It's peaceful.

Time for another cup of tea.
~Cheers~

I knew that had to be a picture of Ireland at the top. It is so lovely and green there. We have a few months of spring green and then it gets hot and the fields turn brown. I think that is why spring is my favorite season here,

Well, here in Holland it is very much like Ireland. Rain, rain, wind and rain. It is very green and a very grey sky. This is a damp country and it took me time to get used to that. Why do you have to have shots?

Any word yet about your friends? Just wondering if things are okay with them?

Hugs ~
